For more than 35 years CWD has stood with the women of Northern Sri Lanka: war widows, women-headed households, survivors of violence and their children. Your support helps us continue.
Ways to support us
Fund or partner on a programme
Organisations and donors can support a programme such as legal aid, livelihoods, children’s education or emergency relief. Contact us to discuss a partnership.
Volunteer your skills
Lawyers, counsellors, trainers, researchers and translators can share their expertise as resource persons for our workshops and legal clinics.
Support children’s education
Our educational assistance gives school-going children note books, pens, school bags, shoes and bicycles, which has helped reduce drop-outs.
Spread the word
Follow us on Facebook and share our news, so that more people learn about the situation of women in the North.
Make a donation
To support CWD’s work or make a donation, please contact us. We will be glad to tell you more about our programmes and how your contribution will help women and children in Northern Sri Lanka.
Supporting CWD from Australia
Our main current donor, Ten for Tamils, supports CWD’s work, including dry-ration relief for families affected by floods and Cyclone Ditwah, and our International Women’s Day 2026 programme.
